Thank You, Meadows Place!
July 10, 2011

I had the honor this Fourth of July to act as Parade Marshal for The City of Meadows Place. Where’s that, you ask? It’s in Fort Bend County located near US  59 and Kirkwood…a very small city with only about 5,000 people. I ended up finding out that if you drive past a third stop sign – you’ve left town. 🙂

For years now they’ve been holding July 4th parades. I spotted red, white and blue everywhere; from the mailboxes…to the roof tops and many places in between. Residents lined the streets, waving ‘hello.’ Some sat on their lawn chairs, while others hung out under shaded tents. BBQ pits were going, water balloons were flying…overall families were enjoying their holiday.

A big thank you to our military men and women and their families, as well. I appreciate your sacrifices.

Ready to go celebrate...
